The Bachelorette season 21's Jenn Tran finally eliminated villain Sam McKinney, but not before he made an unhinged comment about her Bachelor season 28 co-stars Daisy Kent and Maria Georgas, that proved that the show never cared about Jenn. On premiere night, Jenn and Sam had an instant and passionate connection. She gave him her first impression rose, and the first and only kiss of the night.
During Sam and Jenn's Bachelorette season 21 one-on-one date, Sam pressured Jenn into jumping from the Auckland Sky Tower, even though she told him that she was afraid of heights and didn't want to. This red flag made her start to question their relationship, but, when he opened up to her about his past relationship at their dinner, Jenn softened toward him again and gave him a rose. However, Sam showed his true colors with his comment about Daisy and Maria.

Sam Reminded Viewers That Jenn Wasn’t The Bachelorette’s First Choice
Sam Said That He Thought Daisy Or Maria Was Going To Be The Bachelorette
Before The Bachelorette season 21 began, Bachelor season 28 runner-up Daisy explained that she turned down the role because she wasn't ready for it. Maria then revealed that she had the role until she changed her mind. This made Jenn appear to be the show's third choice for the lead, which was very unfair to her, especially because Daisy and Maria were fan favorites who many hoped would star in the show.
As Jenn's season progressed, fans forgot about Daisy and Maria because she's been such a great Bachelorette. However, during their one-on-one time on the radio show group date, when Jenn asked him what his first impression of her was, he answered, "It's a testament to this process that I almost didn't even come here." He added that, when he got out of the limousine, he thought, "This girl is not my type. I thought the Bachelorette was gonna be Daisy or Maria." Sam's fellow Bachelorette contestants, who were watching the conversation from afar, had strong reactions to his comment. Grant Ellis even said that it was weird.
The Bachelorette is a highly edited show, so it would've been very easy for the producers to leave Sam's comment about Daisy and Maria out of it. However, they obviously wanted to create drama, and paint Sam as the villain, as this conversation was the beginning of the end of his and Jenn's relationship. It was completely unnecessary for the producers to rehash the Daisy and Maria controversy this late in Jenn's season, so it proved that they never cared about her in the first place.

Sam Deserved To Go Home From The Bachelorette
Sam Wasn't On The Show For The Right Reasons
Jenn finally realized that Sam wasn't the right person for her when he had trouble answering why he wanted to get engaged to her. In fact, he kissed her instead, proving that their relationship was mainly physical. When Sam told Jenn, "I love you," Jenn expressed to the producers that it was just words. Jenn didn't feel that Sam understood, knew, or saw her. Her relationship with Sam reminded her of one from her past, which she didn't want to go back to. After she sent Sam home, Jenn stated that their relationship was mainly physical, and he didn't really try to get to know her.
Sam deserved to leave The Bachelorette season 21, not only because of how he treated Jenn, but also because he was a bully toward the other contestants. He often used violent and aggressive language in his confessionals about Devin Strader, stating that he'd snap him in half, and that, if it was a competition, he'd step on his neck. While Sam insisted that he was there to always "keep the main thing, the main thing," as he repeatedly said, Jenn saw through him. It was probably very painful for Jenn to realize that Sam wasn't the one for her, and the producers made it worse by airing his comment about Daisy and Maria.
