Matthew Stafford was on the “Pardon My Take” show and he maybe kind of sort of revealed that he hopes to play another “three or four” years, but who knows? The player also says that every season is different and he says he feels great right now, but it seems like he is saying that because there are times when he doesn’t. Will he one day wake up hurting where maybe it never hurt so much before? Will he be exposed to an injury that knocks out his will to play?
So many questions, but it seems like if you ask Stafford, he wants to be around the Los Angeles Rams for longer than just one or two seasons. We’ll see. It’s all very interesting. Thank you to the commenters from this past weekend and those who commented yesterday! There was/is so much preseason to discuss!
Thank you to the Random Ramsdom commenters and readers and just thank you all in general! Football is coming. Please comment on whatever you want (or don’t) and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
Rams’ Matthew Stafford reveals how much longer he hopes to play, whether he rooted for Lions in 2023 playoffs (cbssports)
“Matthew Stafford briefly considered retirement prior to the 2023 NFL season. A year later, preparing for the start of the 2024 campaign, the Los Angeles Rams quarterback has no plans to hang up the cleats anytime soon, revealing to “Pardon My Take” this week how long he intends to keep playing.
“I appreciate this game,” Stafford said. “It’s given me a ton. I hope I got three or four [seasons] left in me. We’ll see. Every year’s a new year. But I do feel good.”
After some ‘chaotic’ seasons, Rams QB Jimmy Garoppolo is having fun again (nytimes)
“It’s been a great pairing so far, especially after Garoppolo dealt with so much uncertainty in recent years.
“It was chaotic at times, but they’re all learning experiences,” Garoppolo told The Athletic. “That’s one thing I’ve taken from this. The NFL is crazy, man. Everyone has got a story. Everyone is going whichever way trying to make it. But at the end of the day, it’s your story, and you’ve got to make the best of it. Good, bad, or indifferent, whatever happened in the past, it happened. … Now I’m here, and I’m just trying to make every day the best day.”
Rams DT Pokes Fun at New Turnover Mask (si.com)
“Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Bobby Brown III made a quirky turnover mask and showcased it via social media.
The nose tackle is taking turnover props to another level. Most commonly seen in college football, turnover props are a flashy or formal way team’s celebrate an interception or recovered fumble.”
